Aqua Sun manufactures the PWP-C Portable, Solar Battery
/ 12-volt Powered Water Purification Systems for Remote Applications. This
system has the capabilities of producing cleaner and safer drinking water
from almost any creek, stream, pond, well, lake or most any fresh water source
at a volume production rate of 1 gallon (3.7 liters) per minute where
water purification and electrical power are impractical or unattainable. The
daily water production from the solar battery mode is up to 100+ gallons
(370+ liters) per day. For continuous water purification production a
15 ft long 12-volt electrical power cord is provided with a cigarette lighter
plug and battery jumper cable clips that can be plugged into any car, truck,
boat, plane, generator or any 12-volt electrical power supply source. When
the system is operating under the auxiliary power (12-volt) mode, it is
constantly re-charging the system's battery. This System does not require
any outside electrical power; nor is there a need for chemical additives. Water
volume flow rates can be increased by using a specially designed manifold which
allows 5 systems to be connected together to increase water volume production
amounts to 5 gallons (18 liters) per minute or greater.
| These Portable, Solar Battery /
12-volt Powered Water Purification Systems pull the water from the
source and through a 5.0 micron Sediment Pre-Filter. The
water is then pushed through a Carbon Block Polishing Filter
that has the capabilities of removing Giardia
and Cryptosporidium Cysts, Herbicides, Pesticides, Trihalomethanes
(THMs), certain Volatile Organic Chemicals (VOCs), Chlorine and
Chlorine By-Products, Sediment, Bad Taste, Odors, Color, Smell, and
many other Harmful Chemicals and Contaminants
down to a 0.5 micron. The polished filtered water
is then channeled past an Ultraviolet Light Disinfecting Process
that has the ability to kill Bacteria,
Viruses, Typhoid Fever, Coliform, Dysentery, Cholera, Infectious
Jaundice, Hepatitis and Influenza Virus, E-coli, Enteric Fever
and many other unwanted microorganisms to a 99.999% purity. |
PWP-C uses a dual power source:
- Solar Power is generated by a marine grade,
photovoltaic solar panel that can be attached to the lid of the case for
charging purposes or stored inside for traveling and shipping. The solar
panel needs 4 to 6 hours of indirect sunlight per day to maintain the system's
battery, which powers the self-priming pump and ultraviolet disinfecting
light. A 60 minute timer
is used to turn ON the system and gauge or adjust total output flow. 1
gallon (3.7 liters) per minute, 60 gallons (222 liters) per hour. The
Timer turns the system Off when done and prevents excessive draining of the
battery.
- 12-Volt DC Auxcelery Power can be obtained from
the 15 ft long extension cord which has a cigarette lighter
plug and battery jumper cable connectors are provided for a direct connection
to most power sources. It can receive its 12 volt power from many
sources, such as a vehicle battery or DC generator. When operating under DC power, the system can
produce purified drinking water at 1 gallon (3.7 liters) per minute
and 60 gallons (222 liters) per hour for how ever long the
auxcelery power source last.
The system is housed in a durable, space age,
lightweight structural molded resin carrying case. It is water and air tight
for maximum protection of the internal parts. This briefcase style case
meets and exceeds the highest standards for industrial, airline, military
and commercial applications. It is portable enough to be carried anywhere
in the world. It is approved for air shipments inside and outside the
continental United States.

PWP-C:

PWP-V:
